The design of mobile hand-held devices is always problematic due to the attempt to get as many features as possible into a small portable device, this especially so in devices that also include a keyboard. The HTC4350 has a rather sophisticated design with a slide out keyboard and a 240x320 pixel display which conveniently reorients from portrait to landscape mode when the keyboard is exposed. The keyboard itself is 90mm wide and 26mm tall. The individual keys measure 9mm by 6mm and there's a double-width space key. This makes it too small for touch-typing but is useful for quick document editing and E-mailing. At the bottom of the device there is a miniUSB port which serves for PC connectivity, recharging and headphone connectivity. The HTC P4350 runs Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition and It comes with 64MB of RAM and 128MB of ROM, for extended memory and storage space there is a microSD card slot located at the left edge. Also incorporated in this device is a 2mp camera which offers decent performance but has no flash. The most evident downside of this device is the lack of 3G support with only quad-band GSM, GPRS and EDGE support. Bluetooth (2.0) and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) are also included. Performance wise everything fares pretty well, battery life time is about 7 hours of intensive use or a few days of moderate use. Overall this handheld is certain worth consideration if you're looking for a connected handheld with a keyboard and you don't need 3G bandwidth.
