The image quality is one of the finest currently available from an LCD particularly when it comes to contrast and black levels coming near even to those of high-end Plasmas, this thanks to several implemented technologies found in Samsung's latest 'Super Clear' LCD Panels. Also contributing to the excellent performance is the image processing system including Samsung's Digital Natural Image engine, 'Movie Plus' technology to improve accuracy around moving objects and the 'Edge Enhancer' system. In order to reach the full potential of this display one absolutely has to do before anything else is redefine and configure the atrocious factory preset image settings which really do no grace to this superb display. Thankfully the configuration albeit having control over almost every possible feature is not too complicated and once finished one is promised a superb viewing experience. The only complaint we can have in regard to the M87 is that the sound system is not as forceful and impressive as one could hope but this is truly nitpicking and otherwise this is an outstanding TV.
